Circles + Lines

Uncertainty, questions the unsettled, unstable issues that impact our current living history. Circles revolve and hover in an unidentifiable atmosphere. I use the circle as a central symbol, applying short, fast mark-making strokes of graphite—whose origin is carbon, the basis of organic life. Through charcoal and graphite, I explore line as the subject and object. In the Replication series the matrix and printed surface are one and the same. For inquires contact my studio.
